TOBY CARVERY
ROAST DINNER HERO STORIES COMPETITION TERMS
1. The Roast Dinner Hero Stories Competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, the Promoter’s suppliers, any third party directly associated with administration of the prize competition, and their respective families or agents. The Promoter may require any participant to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the competition.
2. Entry into the competition must be made by a nominator submitting a moving story about how their nominee is an unsung hero in their eyes, along with the nominator’s and nominee’s first names, and the nominator’s geographic location, email address and phone number via: https://tobycarveryroastdinnerherostories.com. All parties (nominator, nominee and any friends & family of the nominee that wish to be involved (as agreed by Toby Carvery)) must be able to travel to an agreed Toby Carvery location, and be happy to be filmed and photographed for the purposes of the prize. No costs or expenses will be payable. All parties participating in the prize filming/photography must sign a standard Toby Carvery filming release.
3. Only one entry/nomination per person is permitted.
4. The opening date for entries is 12pm on 1st March 2024. The closing date of nominated stories is 11:59pm on 15th March 2024. Entries received after this time will not be accepted. Competition entries cannot be returned.
5. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
6. The competition winner/winning story will be selected by a panel of three judges. Entries will be assessed by the panel against the following criteria: legitimacy, emotive value, consent of the nominated person to be filmed, and availability of the nominated person on one of the various proposed filming days and at the proposed location. The nominator/nominee may be contacted as part of the selection process. The names of the judges will be provided by email upon request, for up to one month after the competition closing date.
7. The winner will feature in a campaign video with Tom Skinner. That video will be posted on the Toby Cavery YouTube channel, and various cut downs of the video will be used across Tom Skinner’s & Toby Carvery’s social media platforms. The winning nominee will also receive a Toby Carvery Gift Card to the value of £100, to be provided on the filming day.
8. The nature of the competition requires that the nominee may not know they have been nominated or chosen as the winner, therefore all contact may be with the nominee’s winning nominator. The nominator will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided by them upon entry) in the week commencing 18th March 2024. If they do not respond to the Promoter by the required method within 7 days of being notified by the Promoter, then another shortlisted nominator story will be selected, and the respective nominator contacted in accordance with the process described above. The prize cannot be claimed by a third party on behalf of the winning nominator or nominee. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if the winner is not able to take up the prize.
9. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
10. The competition is being organised by Mitchells & Butlers Leisure Retail Limited, assisted by its agency One Fifty Consultancy. The winner may be contacted by either of them about the administration of the prize.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.
12. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
13. Winners will only be contacted by email/phone by Toby Carvery/One Fifty Consultancy and will never be required to click any online links, provide bank details, or make any payments in order to claim the prize.
14. The winning nominator’s surname and county together with (if applicable) details of the winning entry can be obtained by sending an email to tobycarvery@onefiftyconsultancy.com within fourteen days after the closing date of the competition. Entrants who do not wish such information to be provided should they win, should object in advance of the competition closing date by sending an email to tobycarvery@onefiftyconsultancy.com specifying which prize competition they have entered, and what information they object to being provided.
15. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify a participant or winner if their conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
